Cowgirl Birthday Cake

This cake was for my neighbor's daughter who turned 5. She wanted a horse and cowgirl theme. This has a lot of fondant on top of buttercream. I am not a sculptor and this was my first attempt at sculpting with fondant.

Elmo birthday cake

Not my best work. This was done just a few days after surgery so I had a lot of help. I would have like to do more and made the whole top layer fondant so the paper tears would blend better but I did not have the strength or energy. Elmo is a candy plaque, his hands and the paper tears are fondant and the crayons are candles.
